  Reflexology

Reflexology deals with reflex areas in the feet corresponding to all of the glands, organs and other parts of the body.

Applying gentle pressure to the feet and stimulating more than 7,000 nerves, tiny deposits and tensions can be detected in the feet which block vital energy pathways, resulting in illness. By releasing these obstructions, toxins are eliminated and the circulation improved, restoring the free flow of energy and nutrients to the body's cells. This encourages the body to heal itself at its own pace, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse.

As we all know, it is difficult to function well if we feel tired or sluggish. In much the same way that exercise improves mental alertness and attention, reflexology has a similar effect. By reducing tension we become able to think more clearly and work more effectively with greater clarity.

Stress and tension tighten up the cardio-vascular system and restrict blood flow. Circulation becomes sluggish. By reducing stress and tension, reflexology allows the miles of cardiovascular vessels to conduct the flow of blood naturally and easily.

By deepening relaxation, reflexology causes all the systems of the body to function more efficiently, including those that eliminate toxins and impurities. It is important to drink water after each treatment in order to encourage this release.

70% of disorders can be related to stress and tension and as the reflexologist encourages the body to relax, the body becomes free to find its own homeostasis. The body also begins to release more endorphins which will in some cases ease pain.
