Qualifications

I hold the following qualifications:

Advanced Certificate in Clinical and Strategic Hypnosis and attended the BST Foundation for Clinical Hypnosis in London.

Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. My approach is integrative covering TA, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Person Centred.

I am a Licentiate of the Association of Systematic Kinesiology and have undergone further extensive training in Applied Kinesiology at London and Oxford Universities. I also have qualifications in Reflexology, Massage, Emotrance , EFT and the Bowen Technique.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the National Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists and abide by their Code of Ethics.

I am also a Registered Hypnotherapist with the General Hypnotherapy Register and the UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations.

With an initial background in nursing I have spent the past 20 years training and working in many different aspects of complementary medicine receiving referrals from hospitals, GPs, dentists and word of mouth. I also work on a voluntary basis as a counsellor for the Domestic Violence team at Waverley District Council and the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham. I now treat patients from areas such as Farnham, Alton, Camberley, Guildford, Farnborough, Petersfield and Woking and from time to time teach hypnosis techniques in childbirth to antenatal groups and individual parents-to-be. I recently took part on a local radio show talking about hypnotherapy for my Quit Smoking and Hypnoband programmes.

Area of Specialism:

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist/Hypnotist and Counsellor I frequently attend up-date courses in order to be able to offer the latest techniques to my clients helping me deal with all issues (phobias/panic attacks, dental phobia, childbirth, pain management, weight loss, eating disorders, sexual problems, confidence/self esteem, smoking/ alcohol cessation, relationship problems, domestic violence/abuse, family issues and bereavement work.)

My particular interest lies in the growing body of scientific knowledge showing that the mind is directly linked to our immune system which means that I work with the physical as well as psychological and spiritual well-being of the client.
